VAE VICTIS!
>This is WAR!
Since the begining of "time immemorial" there has been 24.6 days of recorded peace. This is an undisputed fact. There has always been some-where, at some-time in our history... a war, a territorial dispute, a raid, an invasion, a skirmish, a fight, a revolution, a police action, a battle, a miltiary coup, an attack, a campaign, a crusade or a state of seige. And I, in conjunction with my fellow Horsemen of the Apocalypse, have always been present observing the outcome. The one thing that I have learned is that Fate in inexorable.
Now, all of this means, that Peace is not doing his job, and that as the personification of WAR, I am one very busy girl! Personally, I have no time for Amity, Peace, Harmony and Tranquility, (and they can be SO soppy at times!) And what with tactics, campaigning, working out strategies and hoisting black flags about the place, I hardly have time for a manicure!
The term 'time immemorial' by the way... means extending beyond the reach of memory, record, or tradition. The implication is that the thing referred to is, or can be regarded as, indefinitely ancient. Just like my self. But in fact, the term was 1st formally defined for legal purposes... and had nothing to do with 'war,' even though in some eyes, many wars are not only legal, but justified.
In English law 'time immemorial' means "a time before legal history, and beyond legal memory" so called; formerly an indefinite time, but in 1276 this time was fixed by statute as the year 1189, the beginning of the reign of King Richard I, a true 'war-monger' if there ever was one! I don't know why he thought he deserved the title of "Cur de Lion"... all I can tell you is that he wasn't too thrilled to meet me!
'A kiss on the hand, may be truly contential, but a global thermol nuclear weapon, is a girls best friend.'
