Welcome. I am Chaac, pre-Columbian god of rain, thunder, agriculture and fertility. I am known as a four-in-one god, with each of my four aspects pertaining to the cardinal points of North, South, East and West. During the post-Columbian era, my name, in prayer, was sometimes replaced by that of Saint Thomas.
Although I am not directly related to the post-Classic Chac Mool, I am often (mistakenly) referred to as such. For our local celebrations, allow me to also introduce you to that aspect, from a sacred space of the Chac Mool--
at the very top of the Pyramid of Kukulcan in Chichen Itza.
"My name is Chac Mool, but you can call me Chaac for short. To make a proper offering, just drop your sacrificial heart into my cuauhxicalli vessel. The heart should still be beating."
Ancient Chaacese Words of Wisdom: "Never bet on a fish that's racing on land."
