Although by Ancient World custom, Song which comes second is my family name, by Korean custom Pak which comes first would be my family name.
Park or Pak (박 in the Korean hangul alphabet) is a common Korean family name. A Korean name consists of a family name followed by a given name, as used by the Korean people in both North Korea and South Korea. In the Korean language, 'ireum' or 'seong-myeong' usually refers to the family name and given name together.
The name Park goes back to King Park Hyeokgeose, the founder of the Silla Kingdom. Silla was one of the Three Kingdoms of Korea, and the longest sustained dynasty in Asian history. Although it was founded by King Park Hyeokgeose, who is also known to be the originator of the Korean family name Park , the dynasty was to see the Kyungju Kim clan hold rule for most of its duration.
When written with a Chinese character, Pak uses a character 朴
that means "sincere," "simple" and "unadorned."
History
According to the legend, Park Hyeokgeose was the founder of this Korean surname. He was said to be hatched from an egg and when the egg shell cracked, there were rays of light that came from it. Since the Korean verb for "to shine" or "to be bright" is spelled B-A-R-G in hangeul characters, his last name became Bak. When he turned thirteen, he became the founding king of the ancient Korean kingdom of Silla in 57 BCE
