Cleopatra Selene and her twin brother Alexander Helios were born c.40 B.C. to Queen Cleopatra VII and Marc Antony. In 34 B.C., Cleopatra VII ceremonially divided the empire of Alexander from the Hellespont to the Indus between her children. Cleopatra Selene was made the Queen of Cyrenaica. Juba II later received the Kingdom of Mauretania from Augustus and married Cleopatra Selene c.20 B.C.
