Thank you for visiting my home. It is a joy to have you! Please feel at home here; my home is your home.
Many people at AW ask me what I do in RL. I appreciate that as I like to know a bit about my friends here also.
I teach Art History at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC and love my profession with a passion. All my life, even as a child, I have been involved in the arts and the history of art, as well as ancient history. So...my reason for being involved with AS/AW for almost 10 years. I am better known by most members as
LadyJan Antonius.
Most of my students enjoy AW. They have told me they learn so much and get a better understanding of art history by being in a virtual community and visiting all the different worlds. In fact, they tell me they love AW! Sometimes, we have conversations about different groups; some students get a big thrill from the social role-playing groups and mention that there is a lot of wine- drinking just as there was in the ancient worlds. Only one issue that I worry about at times; they keep up with all the gossip, quarrels, misunderstandings, love, love affairs, etc. and want to talk about that. Of course, we all know that these incidents occurred in ancient times just as they do today and it makes this virtual life seem more realistic to them. LOL

Did You Know?
"As much as 80% of all disease
and illness in the U.S. is
initiated or aggravated by stress in the form of ANGER."
"All that a man achieves and that he fails to achieve is the direct result of his own thoughts...his condition is his own, and not another man's. His suffering and his happiness are evolved from within. As he thinks, so he is; as he continues to think, so he remains."

As a descendent of the Morgan's and the Price's from County Glamorgan, Southeast Wales, my
home is a reflection of my never-ending, keen interest in Wales, it's beautiful castles,
history, music, folklore, mythology and the wisdom of these wonderful people who migrated
from Wales to America.

"May you always be blessed
With walls for the wind,
A roof for the rain,
A warm cup of tea by the fire--
Laughter to cheer you
Those you love near you
And all that your heart might desire."

Art of the Welsh People
County Glamorgan
Glamorgan or Glamorganshire (Welsh: Morgannwg) is one of thirteen historic counties and former administrative counties of Wales. It was previously a medieval kingdom or principality. Glamorgan contains the two largest Welsh cities — Cardiff, the capital, and Swansea.
Glamorgan is latterly represented by the three preserved counties of West Glamorgan (containing Swansea), Mid Glamorgan, and South Glamorgan (containing Cardiff).

What thou lovest well remains, the rest is dross
What thou lov'st well shall not be reft from thee
What thou lov'st well is thy true heritage
Whose world, or mine or theirs or is it of none?
First came the seen, then thus the palpable Elysium,
though it were in the halls of hell,
What thou lovest well is thy true heritage
What thou lov'st well shall not be reft from thee.
~Ezra Pound~
