Welcome to Toirneac-Bherg, the House of Thunder. The walls of this great fortress were built by the father of my father's father, and so they have come to me. Be patient a moment please while the gate guards give you a good pat down. I promise it won't hurt. While you wait, here the story of my people.

In the early days of the 5th century, in the quiet Western lands of the Island of Eire, there was a quiet village on the shores of Lough Corrib. The population had dwindled greatly during the previous decade due to the call of war in Britannia and the promise of fortunes to be found there. During that decade this quiet village slept away in the heart of lands Uí Niall, pursuing its own course in its own time.

Saoirse ní Coirpre, proud and headstrong daughter of the old Coirpre, neice of the old Niall, has returned to these lands after ten years of Exile in Ulster. She has come to reclaim her right and ensure the place of her young son, born into the House of Niall as well as the Nobel house of Ulster. She has come to reclaim the mighty fortress of Toirneac-Bherg.

There will be peace no more.
