O come all ye kind folk
whose desire it is to listen,
I bid you welcome
come and my pithy story learn
as told by Aedh, the son of Gwydion
the son of Lleu
and my own heart's sweet desire
a long lost companion
of times gone by
of the halcyon days
in the Lover Dales...
and as told by me, Caitriona
the loss weeping lover.
In bliss we dwelled until
cruel wind apart our fortunes tore
and each one's own followed path
I, of a lady who shamed her mother's nobliest name, failing to help the youngest of my sisters when she was in need.
He, of a lone wolf, a restless wanderer on the roads of life.
At times, when night is quiet and jewelled with the stars, methink his sighs render the skies... these are the sighs of a withered affection which mingles with my bitter tears of a forsaken life and reminds of the time the lovers would meet in a moonlit dale.
The stars said to look towards the future, not the past, and there I went...
I adopted a STAR Thanks to Ladyhipoo!
