Hello, and welcome to my home. Well, my ancestral home. I was born in the lush forests of what is now called the New World. Our lands are no longer our own, but have been colonized by Europeans. One of them became my husband and I have since left home to travel across the sea.
Surprisingly, I enjoyed the trip and loved my husband. Yes, I say loved, as he died from consumption a few years after our return to his home. With his loving tutelage, I learned to communicate and brought with me my people's skill for weaving, so I am not destitute. However, I am lonely as my new family despises me and blames me for my husband's death. So I decided to travel once again to the island called England to make a new life for myself, away from the memory of Eduoard, my love.

My name, Cacaloxochitl, is the Nahuatl word for plumeria, a sacred flower in Ancient Mayan society.
