Here are the things I've found to do:

  • I can get involved in a group of my own choice. I've looked around and I've found everything under the sun, and then some. If I can't find any groups that I like, I can create my own!

  • I can decorate my homepage and while I'm doing so, I can learn something about designing for the internet!

My favorite group so far is Arachnes Web. They have so many great tips for decorating and they even have an academy where skills like HTML, CSS, various graphic applications and more are taught. Best of all, you don't even have to be a member to benefit from all they do!

  • Participate in AncientWorlds festivals! It sounds like they can be a lot of work sometimes, but I can honestly say I've already learned a lot helping Meso get ready for Goldfest. And I plan on having lots of fun at other Worlds' events! There's still time and help needed, so hop on over and volunteer today! Or just mark it on your calendar.
  • I can help build my adopted World. Mesopotamia needs your help — her neighborhoods need info, research, graphics and general pizzazz. Check out this thread to post your ideas or to volunteer.

My Bitum doesn't have a whole lot in the way of hospitality at the moment but I'm working on it. I've already raided other people's homes for HTML and most of all for ideas! So my thanks to the Magnificent Laurels. Your home rocks!

I am a history fanatic. Well, some areas anyway. Check out Babylonia and Anatolia in Meso if you are also an history lover. There is some really interesting stuff going on. If you go to Anatolia, you can be an Ottoman, a Neolithic man from Catal Hoyuk or a Hittie, my fave.

And I really love all three Orient scribes (Shanti, Aria and Shibori). Each is very, very talented in their artwork, and I can't wait to work with them on some projects!

The style of this page (no perspective and the stats and properties moved to the bottom) is courtesy of Voluptua Amytas and the Bitum Boutique, now that's kewl!

All backgrounds, I made myself. The main background is a piece of chenille fabric that I scanned and enlarged. I'm not very good at making seamless tiles yet, but it kinda does the job. The golden border is a cuneiform fragment that I 'gilded' with Paint Shop Pro. The lighter purple background was made with a standard PSP filter.

The avatar is sure not me! The lady in question is a Turkish actress. In the picture she's playing the revered Puduhepa. Okay, I know. You don't know who Puduhepa is. All I can say is look at the Hittite project in the upcoming Goldfest. It was Hafise who gave it to me. She didn't like my old one!

Oops, I almost forgot the rest of the artwork. That's mine, too, constructed from a large PSP tube collection that I bought.
