Welcome to my Household!
My name is Elgiva, a descendant of the Godwinson family.
Our family branch survived the Norman conquest of 1066
and retained our lands in Essex, Kent, and Sussex.
At first a little unsure at my betrothal to Jhon de Morlais,
a descendant of Pierre a knight who participated in the conquest,
I have found my husband to be a great man and our marriage flourishes.
He enjoys giving me little trinkets from the booty of his battles.
For now we have no children.
As you wander through my house you will discover places that serve as my homebase for certain activities.
I conduct my social activities in the Great Hall, and here you will find information and pictures on medieval life including food and dining, house layouts etc.
My Library is for my historical and academic pursuits and includes information and pictures on the Battle of Hastings 1066, Feudalism and Medieval Society, and Literature.
In my Study you will find my game playing scores, statistics and artifacts, and information and pictures on Arms and Trinkets, and Arms & Armour.
Lastly, in my Daily Journal you will find information on The Great Hall, The Keep, The Great Seal, and personal entries of daily activities, poetry and verse.
Thanks for visiting my home!
