Avete amici!

It seems to be my fate to reside in Rome only intermittently, but now I am back for at least 12 months. I used to be on Ancient Sites ( a long time ago, nearly prehistory) and in 2002 on Ancient Worlds, before I had to leave rather prematurely. So if anyone still remembers me, please drop me a line, and I look forward to renewing our acquaintance.

I will try and find all these photographs I used to have so please bear with me, while my villa is being furnished.

As people on the groups below have seen I take quite a strong interest in Ancient History and Rome is just simply great. What I like best is there huge capacity to get themselves into a real mess and then at the last moment to extricate itself from it.

After all, who but Rome ever went into a civil war and came out of it owning a huge empire. You have to give it to them, they don't do things by half.

What is Pinnata Castra? It?s the name of a Roman settlement in Scotland north of the Antonine Wall. It?s in the sources and it must have been impressive (at least for that part of the world), but the archaeologists haven?t found it yet. It may have been Inchtuthil, but most people prefer to think of it between the rivers Findhorn and Spey near Inverness. So in a way it?s my own little Atlantis, it would be fantastic if it showed up one day.

Now, enjoy yourself and perhaps you leave me a message.

Thanks for the visit,

Lepidina

Wind Dragons create tornadoes or Twisters at their fansy, but are very easily knocked over...
Your a wind Dragon! Hey, you, the smartest dragon
of the branch. You love reading and writing,
but are quite shy. Your IQ is probably sky-high
and your stories can win trophies. Your not
very good in sports, or maybe you are, and just
not inrested.. You are very wise, smart, and
kind.

What elemental dragon are you?
