I was born on the Island of Golden Lanterns at Xi Hu, Hangzhou. I am the daughter of Red Rain and Moon, wealthy Kumyiwei warriors from the Clan of the Golden Lanterns. I was raised as a pupil of poetry, music, art, and wushu.
When the Huangdi betrayed my parents and had them executed, I escaped onto a Wokou ship and made my career as a pirate, smuggling expensive cargo (usually of an illegal nature) to every corner of the world.
