Welcome to my Domus! I am a Greek philosopher, despite my family name. Chrysostom means "golden-mouthed" and I hope I will honour it. I was born in Prusa (modern Bursa) in Bithynia. I lived at Rome under Emperor Domitian, who subsequently banished me. I traveled widely, finally returning to Rome in the favor of emperors Nerva and Trajan. I leaned toward the philosophy of the Cynics and Stoics. With Plutarch I shared in the revival of Greek literature in the 1st century.
