"Maharani"
was in my dreams for a long while . . . I wanted to design a
pageset based on East Indian textiles I fell in love with. I also
envisioned a hot, secluded courtyard in late afternoon, where an
exotic matriarch with a red dot on forehead, surrounded by exotic
blooms, fans herself while the evening meal is prepared by
chattering servants. I love pattern on pattern, and I wanted to
use a dominant motif in several colors and variations which would
(somehow) integrate perfectly. Oh yes . . . and I imagined that
the page would positively reek of cumin and curry. This is
how webdesign matures in my head, with ideas and images and
sensations swimming around and around until they coalesce on their
own power, without being forced to associate.
"Maharani" is Jaguarwoman Shareware, available
for use on personal pages only, for a licensing fee of $1 and
a linkback Jaguarwoman Webdesign. You can order this zipfile by filling
out this form and you can pay quickly and easily using PayPal
or you can do things the hard way and send a check..
The zipfile
for this webset includes:
The border and background tiles used in the 3/4 bordered design,
a "Welcome" graphic, a blank title graphic, the button
titles you now see on the page, a guestbook graphic, an accent
graphic, and a linkback graphic, blanks for the buttons, the
html for this page ("index.html"), the font
"Arabian", and the metallic gradient used in the page
title.
