The August Moon is called the end of the fruit moon

GA LO NI the August moon Ga Lo Ni is the Tsalagi name for the moon of August. It is the moon of the ripe fruit when the tribe eats apples and plums gathered wild from the forests of Kituwah Territory. Celebrate the gifts of the forest with us as we decorate corn husk dolls and share our recipes for preparing the indigenous fruits of Kituwah Territory. All are welcome. Sharing food is our traditional way. It is Tsalagi.
