Like the Tiahuanaco, the Huari was another culture that helped to create the trans-Andean empires with uniting diverse peoples, use of agriculture and building in stone. The Huari Empire arose around 600 CE (declining around 900 CE) and at its height surpassed the size of the Tiahuanaco Empire, extending across nearly a thousand miles of present-day Peru.
