Konnichiwa! Welcome to The Flying Pig Tea House. As part of The Orient's Lunar Festival, we will be celebrating the Japanese Tea Ceremony in all of its splendor. You are just in time to join the presentation, so please, do come in and join us.
I am your hostess, Rachana Khan. I will be presenting the ceremony in stages, on Wednesday, February 21, starting at 8:00 p.m. If you ever have a question, please ask it. I will endeavor to answer as best I can. To help with your participation, I have posted some reference materials for you below. Hopefully they will help you as you progress through the ceremony.
While the Tea Ceremony is a very somber, elegant, and reflective occasion, we do encourage you to have fun and enjoy your time at The Flying Pig Teahouse.
There are many arts involved in the Tea Ceremony. To fully appreciate the whole experience one must uderstand the intricacies that make up each individual art, and how those effect the whole of the ceremony.
Things to Do
