1) All Bilberry Blues composers must sign their work with a Bona Fide Delta Blues Monicker (nick name). Examples are, Blind Melon Elliott, Howlin Wolf (xxx), Muddy Waters (xxx), Leadbelly (xxx), Mississippi Slim (xxx), Wild Man (xxx), or make up your own monicker.

2) The first lines or stanza must have at least 3 lines of verse which rhyme in some manner.

My Old Lady done left me
My Hound Dog's gone too
I got nothing to live for
Cause of them Bilberry Blues

Well you cry when I hand you a Hundred Dollar Bill
Well you cry when I hand you a Hundred Dollar Bill
Got the nerve to tell me if I don't another will

I said it wasn't long ago, I was doing real good
Don't you know my baby was acting, like a sweet girl should
But she found another, whoa Lord, and I got the news
And now I'm here suffering, from a touch of the blues.

3) The refrain or reply will be written by the first Bilberry Blues composer in each new song and repeated after each stanza by the next writer.
