On the Ides of March 44BCE Julius Caesar was killed by conspirators during a Senate meeting in the Theater of Pompey. At AW we have re-enacted this event more than once. This time we play it differently: we think Caesar may be saved.

The Ides of March MMVI is a game created by the Game Masters of the Group Aedes Divi Julii and fellow Romans, but anyone can play! Through a series of challenges, the contestant advances through the game, following hints of which of six Caesars is the "true" one, and which are imposters; picking up weapons to kill him or countermeasures to save him; and following logical clues to determine just where Caesar will be on the fatal Ides of March. But will it be fatal? Will history occur as read, or can you change it?

Sign up to play The Ides of March MMVI beginning at 6 PM AW time on Saturday, March 11, and concluding at midnight on the Ides of March, 2006. Ask you questions and post your comments here!

    Play the Game!
