Why oh why oh why do fairly respectable Cambridge fellows have to go on poor quality pap on Channel 5 to earn a crust? Eh? Eh? Answers on a postcard, Quirites...

A prime example being Dr Chris Kelly of Corpus Christi, waffling in a pink anorak [what's with scholars and anoraks?] about gladiators, while two men pulled from the street fought an 'exciting recreation of an actual battle'. Bah! It's all a load of merda....
