More fun for Lughnasadh - 2005 at Cean Tir.

    Mock Horse Race

Bring your own mount (or mountee) and join in the craziest race of all time. By the way - Horses are NOT premitted!

Come one! Come all! Grab your partners and ride 'em piggyback to the Cean Tir Hall of Fame! On the word "Go!" gallop through the obstacle course without touching the ground with your feet. Sad to say that if this happens, you will be immediately disqualified from the game and forced to dally in the bilberry bushes.

START: The starting line is clearly marked. Please do not try to smudge even so much as an inch. Our eagle-eyed judges are watching! Please wait for the starting signal.

    1. The Mud Hole: Try to get across without getting your rider wet. Be careful, the bottom of this seemingly tranquil pond is layered in slippery, slimy, oozy, goozy mud.

    2. Heartbreak Hill: It1s a long, hard climb. Hot and dusty. Suitable for the likes of an ancient Lance Armstrong.

    3. The Highland Trail: The gritty ground is dotted with everything from sharp pebbles to toe-busting boulders. Watch your step here! You don't want your mount to pull up lame when you1re only halfway through the course.

    4. The Briar Patch: Nowhere else in Celtia do the briars grow this thick and thorny! Try to find the path of least resistance or the fewest scratches.

    5. The Slide: A steep downhill run. You can try to take it at a gallop, and risk your neck (either mount or rider), or you can just sit and slide. Just watch that you don1t get a knot in your knickers!

    6. Bilberry Woods: Stop just long enough to pick a peck of pickled peppers (I mean a pint of bilberries). No time for dalliance, even if you're of a mind to dally with your mount.

FINISH: You1re out of the woods and into the home stretch. Give it all you1ve got and maybe you1ll have enough to get there.

Remember to "play nice" and follow the AW Code of Conduct and Cornellia's Roleplay Etiquette.
