Organization to help new members settle in Rome and AW

This is a topic for the organization, planning and announcements of the Vigiles, i.e., the Welcoming committee of Rome.

The goals of the Vigiles are to welcome each newly returned or registered member and help new members with their questions and with settling in, as well as help the scribes and demigods with projects when needed. As each city has their own welcoming committee, our emphasis is on welcoming and helping the Roman newcomers, but naturally our assistance is always extended to everyone in need of help.

Every new citizen is encouraged to introduce her/himself on the overall Welcoming board as well as on the Welcome Back, Fellow Romans topic. Please take a look at the AncientWorlds Guide for an introduction to the site. You also might want to take a look at City Guide: Roma created by M. Fabius Furius. Remember that the Scribes and Demigods are here to help you - just gram any of them when you are in need of help. (You can gram a staff member even when you have reached your gram limit.) You can also post your questions on the Newbie Help topic. For HTML and web design help, there is also the Arachne's Web group. Also, a list of the members of this committee is updated on this topic.
