A chance to work through a case
This is a case of simple banishement but as always, was it really all that simple?
Recently at another site I write out, this case came up. Because of one of the particpants withdrawing it was never brought to completion. Here's a chance to work through the specifics and see if the decision of banishement was warrented.
I'm going to present the case in parts because ultimately that's what's going to help decide the case.
Journey back to Dark Age Scotland. Times are rough for the Scotti who're trying to make a home for themselves. However the Cruithne (Picts) aren't going to just give up the land they've held for ages. The two people are nearly at a state of war
The Scotti Clan are almost confined to one small area of land on Loch but are able to make sorties in and out.
That's the background. Into this rides an old friend/love of the Tainiste, second in command of the Ri tuaithe (Clan Leader). This old friend wants one thing, the Tainiste and is prepared to get her anyway he can. She, on the other hand has moved past him and is soon to be married to the clan steward. Traveling with the friend are a young woman and a girl child (who happen to be his friends and not slaves)
Confused yet? If not here comes more.
The clan steward greets the man and offers the hospitality of the clan which the friend accepts. He is then taken to meet the Ri but upon meeting him he jumps right into business. He offers to buy a certain horse for the Tainiste. When the Ri says the horse isn't for sale the friend proceeds to offer the two females up as slaves after cautioning them to go along. The Ri does end up buying the females.
Now...what, if anything, wrong happened?
