    Your mission is to race from the plain of Marathon to the top of the Acropolis in Athens. But wait, it's not that easy. You have 4 obstacles to defeat along the way. (Deadline extended: 23:00 AWT, March 12 )

    How To Play
    Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to race from the plain of Marathon to the top of the Acropolis in Athens. To participate, just write a post (or posts) describing your journey.
    General Rules
    1. The race has certain obstacles set. See the obstacles.
    2. To help you get past the obstacles, we are giving you the following items. Clever use of these items, if you decide to include them in your story, will make you earn points:
      • One bow and quiver of arrows
      • One sword
      • One large club, labelled "Property of Hercules"
      • One burning torch
      • One ball of thread
      • One amphora of wine
      • One coil of rope
      • One skein of wool
      • One sharpened stick
      • A helmet of invisibility
      • One pair of winged sandals
      • One bronze shield
    3. You do not have to use all of the items or even mention all of the obstacles.
    4. Deadline for entries: 23:00 AW time, March 12
    Scoring System
    Each entry will receive a score based on the following point system:

    Action Points

    Using one or more items to get past an obstacle +5 per item
    Clearing an obstacle as described in history or myth +5 per obstacle
    Winners Announced
