Welcome to the Murder Mystery Party! We will begin at 13:00 est and run until the mystery is solved! You can rub elbows with prestigious people of the film-making industries. And, who knows? Maybe you will be the one to solve the Mystery!

    Rules:

Suspects are trying to cover their tracks. On the day of his murder, each suspect has confronted Phenom with his/her own personal grievance and the result was not good for the great man.

Each suspect, fearing that s/he left a tell tale sign of his/her guilt, is now trying to eliminate any and all evidence that would point to him/her as the murderer.

    Suspects:

Each Suspect will be given a unique URL that lists his/her special abilities/skills, personal goal, and clues other suspects need to secure his/her freedom. Suspects will not know who needs the clues they have been given, but will figure it out as the game progresses. The clues will be used to try to get other clues needed for subplots.

The special abilities or skills are just that. Some seem strange, but all will play a role in helping each suspect. But use skills with great care. If used at the wrong time or on the wrong person, Suspects Risk Exposure! For example, if a suspect has a pickpocket skill and tries to use it on someone with the same skill the suspect may be caught in the act!

To use a skill or ability, suspects need to state what they are trying to get or do. For instance, a slip of paper. The act succeeds unless the suspect is using it against someone with the same or nullifying skill and that person posts within three posts of the suspects post – or “trumps” the suspect. A “trump” can occur if the other person has, in this case, the pickpocket skill, or if the person being acted upon doesn't have what the suspect is looking for or trying to take. If the act can be “trumped”, detectives and the person being acted upon have 3 posts to do it in. If the suspect succeeds, the one being acted upon most gives you what you are trying to get! If a detective pounces upon the suspect making the action in 3 posts, he/she must confess to his/her goal, but not the murder.

Time doesn't matter, but # of posts do. Clues marked Rumor may be broadcast, but only use part of the clue as a tease. Try to barter for useful info. Other clues should be bartered and not broadcast, again don't give away the whole clue without getting something in return.

Read all posts. Eavesdrop on other conversations. Someone will tease a clue that you need and you’ll want to move in and acquire that info.

When you get info to solve your goal post what you are doing. For instance, if you get a clue to go to the Den then post a message that you are in the den and doing something... searching, using your special skill, etc... Detectives - watch for suspect movement. Watch for their use of skills.

In order for the murder to be solved a trail of clues must be presented by the detective. Watch out there are many red herrings in all the individual suspect goals. Clues may come from the suspects who find them while covering their own tracks or through the medium.
