Article Writers of The Orient

An exclusive guild for those people who take the time to write information too extensive to be called merely a "post". As you may have noticed, articles are a feature of patronage. So, if you haven't subscribed to the site...what are you waiting for??

The Article Writers of the Orient guild is a new award designed by the Orient Scribes to recognize the work of our more academically-oriented members. All you have to do to qualify is write articles...naturally. Once you've done that, you're entitled to display the Article Writers of the Orient badge in your home. Just please, be fair to the other writers and only display the color to which you are entitled. And don't put up your badge until your first article is actually published and ready for the general public to read!

Each badge color depicts a writer of different activity levels. Qualifications for earning your badge are these:

Green Badge: 1-4 articles
Purple Badge: 5-9 articles
Red Badge: 10-14 articles
Blue Badge: 15-24 articles
Gold Badge: 25 or more articles

Graphic codes for the badges can always be found in the post entitled, Badge Codes. If you have questions about displaying your badge, contact any of the Orient scribes for assistance. And don't forget to leave a message here, so all your fellow Orientals can be sure to stop by your pavilion and see your shiny new badge...not to mention, read your article! Oh, and the AWO Committee (okay, so far that's just Sank and Lalita) says no...a haiku placed in an article form does not constitute an academic article! Although an article about haiku should qualify.... So, without further ado, here are the badges. Go forth and WRITE!
