The Welcoming Committee of Germania invites you to explore the people, history, and culture of Germania....

    Breaking out the gasoline...

Vestu heil, Welga, Wes thu hael, Hails or simply Greetings – the Welcoming Committee of Germania takes great pleasure in introducing this special part of Ancient Worlds to you.

Germania, with its great variety of inhabitants, tribes and languages, has so much to offer:
historical discussion (both serious and amusing, but always stimulating), trivia games, historical role play and more. Come and share your knowledge and interests with us, assist us in making this community grow into an unique place on the net.

Here on this very board you have the opportunity to introduce yourself, greet fellow Germanics, or to declare what made you take residence in Germania.

When your head is spinning from all that new and unexpected experience and you feel the time has come for a decent drink, come join us at the Red Boar Tavern, definitely one of Ancient World's hottest spots, offering not only the finest mead but also excellent cuisine, exciting combat and somewhat clumsy wooing - all under one roof!

Should you consider becoming a citizen of Germania but are still undecided about which name to choose, we recommend that you have a look at the database of historical names compiled for this purpose. There is a large number of East Germanic names suitable for the Gunthigg, Amaligg, Balthigg, Turcligg, Siling, Hasding, Ostrogoth, Visigoth, Gepid and Burgundian personas, Frisian names for the Folcwaldings, Anglo-Saxon names for the Wuffings and Danish names for the Scyldings.

If you have a question, donīt hesitate to contact any of the Welcoming Committee members mentioned below. We will be glad to help you find your way!

Kaelyn Blatand | Odovacar Turcligg | Friederike Scylding

Herger Hvitaskald | Elgiva Godwinson | Anarane Burgundian | Attila The Hun
