A place for Hugrunar members to enterain others with their own poetry, preferably in the style of Viking skaldic verse or inspired by the Viking Age.
While the wild winds of winter howl outside the feast hall and the occasional flake of snow swirls down through the smoke hole in the thatched roof, the lord's household falls silent as the skald stands with his round lyre and begins to proclaim his latest poem.
Using the time-honoured styles of skaldic verse, he weaves the formulas and traditional patterns of his chosen style into a new form, amazing the gathered crowd with the skill with which he links and interlaces words and phrases with patterns of stress and alliteration. They sit transfixed as he uses ancient formulae to craft a well-known story into a bright and shining new form, which will live and die in that one brief winter night.
