 SPECTATORS' GALLERY - Beta Launch

Throughout the Empire, the torchbearers are carrying the flame from Mt. Olympus to Rome via Athens, Babylon, Egypt, Machu Picchu (Spain), Tara (Gaul), and Italia (Rome). Only the citizens from that city can carry the torch, but here, anyone can argue, comment, enjoy.
Spectators line the route with flowers and off-hand comments; bets change hands in drachmas, sestercii, and all the currencies of the ancient world. Wine-shops spring up overnight as the runners falter, sprint, get lost, get a second wind, but never lose that torch!
