Let this be a growing collection of narratives and observations on the tactics, methodology, psychology and mystique of the Vikings' most notorious profession - combat !
Here, discuss the "finer" points of Viking warfare: the tactics, army composition, leaders and leadership. How did the Vikings differ from their opponents and how was their warfare the same ? How did the Viking age change the face of warfare ?
