For discussions of the lesser Germanic peoples, smaller tribes and sub-tribal groupings.
Some of the tribes mentioned in Roman sources rapidly vanished from recorded history. Others had an impact which far outweighed their size. Several became part of later confederations, but all earned their place in the record of the early Germanics.
