poetry thread about women
In all antiquity, women have been sources of inspiration to lots of famous poets, some of whom actually were women, although their numbers were few. A good example is the Greek female poet Sappho of Lesbos, of whom you can learn more at the oikos of Sappho Socrates. If you have any poetry by or about ancient women or you would like to share some poetry of your own, feel free to post here!
