The Mysterious Orient, or so is the reputation of the Far East... Though archaeological discoveries have shed much light on the history of Asian lands, there are still many sites as yet unexplained. In our article tour we hope to intrigue you visitors with misplaced mummies, oddly carved stones, beautiful
jades, giant jars and ancient cultures. X marks the spots on the map so please do explore. The Archaeology Mystery Adventure is an article tour and game rolled into one. The adventure starts with an exploration of the world's oldest city in India's Gulf of Cambay and ends with a perusal of the mysterious statues on the remote Easter Island. Gather your digging tools, load up your knapsacks and join us in the Orient as we travel across Asia in search of archaeological mysteries. You're in luck! This Goldfest, the officials of the Orient have decided to waive the red tape, so there's no need to register your expedition. Whether you are taking the tour or playing the game, you can start your journey across the vast Asian continent at any time by simply clicking on the areas of the map marked with an X to learn more about the archaeological mysteries of each location. At the end of each article, you will discover further instructions and a golden shovel. When you have read the article and instructions, click on the shovel to take the challenge. Each challenge is different. Please read the instructions carefully and post your stories, bios, guesses and quiz scores on this thread. The object of the game is to complete all 7 challenges by midnight of October 31 AWT. Winners will receive a Golden Shovel award designed by Lara Vardhana. All participants are welcome to take home a memento of their adventures in our mysterious ancient lands, which will be presented on this thread at the end of Goldfest. |
