    rhetorica

This thread is meant to post Latin texts, comments, criticism and, of course, translations concerning the retoric Latin literature. Rome was already in its Ancient Time proud of having produced Marcus Tullius Cicero (1st century B.C.), its most prominent orator and law man. Not only his political speeches are world famous, but also his works on the art of speech. Also Quintillianus wrote a work dealing with the art of speech at the beginning of the 2nd century A.D. Many politicians and writers have been influenced by these speeches and works about the art of speech, in ancient, medieval and modern times.
