Meet the new Mesopotamian Scribal Team!
Flavia, (AKA Da Sniv) and I have known each other since Ancient Sites where we did a bit of Role Playing together and continue our roles. So, if there are any mentions of “Da Quink” (that’s me, the Queen of Babylon), “Poils” (my purloined pearls that Da Sniv swears she didn’t take), or anything else that sounds odd, that’s why. She is a fun-loving, wonderfully funny gal whom I look forward to working with.
Persia (AKA Da Sweetie) and I met here on Ancient Worlds, but don’t let the sweet exterior fool you. She can be as wickedly funny as the rest of us. She is very dependable and I think we’ll all get on fabulously! I am very happy to have Persia among the Scribal team.
Me, I am a stay-at-home mom and no, that is not code for, "I have all the time in the world." You wouldn't believe the family members who think that I have all this free time to do their stuff for them! Anyway, my husband is on the road a lot, so I am often a single, married parent. We have two children, a girl of 8 and a son of 1 (almost!). It took me 7 years to convince hubby we needed more than one child. Many thought that I should give up, or become sneaky and "forget" to take things, but in the end, I manage to be tenacious enough to get what I wanted without being deceptive. I value honesty most of all, I think.
I love Sumerian history, especially the mythology. Some co-workers had me read the Zecharia Sitchin books and that's how I became interested. I normally don't take things at face value, until I've looked into them. So, I began looking into the myths he talked about in his books to see if he was just a wacko with an agenda, or if he was on the up and up. My conclusion is that the myths are real, but his interpretations are his own.
And that's about all I have for you as far as the new Mesopotamian Scribal Team Intro. We are a friendly bunch of gals, and so please don't feel hesitant about coming to us with your questions. We're always happy to help!
