I find myself mostly in the dark as to why things do not move faster than the glacial pace they do (and we're talking pre-global warming glaciers, just to clarify). Busy as she is, I imagine Bryce fixing bugs as she has the free time to do so would go a long way in bringing about some changes. It's better to have something than nothing, right? If Bryce cannot, well, it's best to try no? Otherwise I believe there are some members out there competent enough to handling some of the minor coding problems. Let them employ their eager hands, please!
Everyone take a good, long look around this place. It Is Dying. A handful of people keep AW afloat, and it's in a decrepit state at that. I want this community to continue, but I question if He does. And I mean truly does, like those of us who have put in countless hours to man the fires day in and day out.
Maybe I shouldn't have said anything tonight, I know I've ruffled enough feathers over Decennalia and Goldfest V. But I took my good, long look around AW awhile ago and my desire to celebrate was immediately suppressed. I'm extremely busy in RL, such that my thoughts are well beyond AW. But it is hard to stop caring. I've been a part of this general community for nine years, some of which I look back upward quite fondly. It takes a lot to walk away knowing that you don't even want to look back anyone. I'm here now to do a bit of work for Goldfest, wholly because someone I love and respect asked if I might. After that, I am done. I offer up my remaining subscriptions as a donation to the AW memorial fund. My regret is that it is all so easily avoided. But I feel no guilt. It's not within my power to bring the necessary changes.
