did you see the Irish resistance group he was leader of? Wow Vort. Talk about having SUCKER printed on your forehead.
In my case, well not every group I was unreasonably promoted in, but quite a few, it was because I was a scribe at the time. I expressed support and occasionally mild interest in some local world fledgling group. But by support, I meant I wouldnt talk trash about it behind the leader's back, and if they needed something specific, they could ask and I would do what I could. NOt support = I will run your lives and do your laundry for you.
Anyway, next thing you know, possibly just to be polite or maybe suck up for some strange reason (yeah, like I have any pull or power here?) they will have promoted me to level 5. Then one day I find the leader is gone and I'm level 6. ?
There is only three occasions I can think of where I was actually honored by an unwarranted unasked for promotion, and those groups I haven't demoted myself yet because I enjoy it. But the lesson here to all group leaders is don't do that! Don't promote someone who didnt ask, chances are you won't honor them, you'll annoy them.
