....I was AW Meso's first scribe, way back when. When it was proposed to have the Beta Launch run from Rome to Athens, I suggested it would be better to have it run through all of AW's lands, and that the runner stop by the various historical sites in his/her land and describe them. I wrote some of the more detailed factual posts in Meso, when I was more active (history of medicine, ships, wool, seige science, Tyre, King Hiram of Tyre, the commodities of Meso, Egypt, and Rome. I did an interesting series on the Slavic gods, when the group, Russia, got started. Currently though, aside from keeping my character drunk in the Kash Bowl, I've been trying to get the roleplaying going in my group, "The Flooding of the Black Sea". There is still a controversy about how sudden the flood was, but until I started researching this topic, I knew the Sumerians had something to do with the people in the Caucasus Mtns, but I didn't know the Pre-Dynastic Egyptians, the Proto-Indo-Europeans, the Linear Band Pottery Culture and half a dozen other peoples all lived around the Black Sea. I guess the only other thing in my life that would interest people of an historical background, is how I came to Ancient Sites in the first place. I had been working on a copyright for a computer game, and in trying to find a map of the Meso area at the time of the 2nd Caliph (Omar), I discovered AS. Our old official historian, Berosus Etana, helped me figure out the provinces of the Middle East at the time, and by then, I was stuck here. I got the copyright, but never could figure out the computer program.
