I remeber reading something about a harem conspiracy during the reign of Ramesses III. They wanted their son to take the throne, as he would probably not have seen the throne any other way if they had not tried to overthrow the pharoah. It just goes to show what happens when you have too much time on your hands! If I remember right, it was in the book, "The Judgement of the Pharoah" by Joyce Tyldesly. I will look it up and get back with more info.
