The image gallery bug that thinks there's still a graphic taking up space can be got around by always making sure there is one image in your gallery. The trick is to upload a very small image of no more than 5k of memory, then delete the image you no longer want. If the image you want to delete is an avatar, you will have to upload another avatar image before you can delete the one you don't want. Since new members do not have much space, upload a 5k image as an avatar, delete the one you don't want, then upload the one you do want. In other words, the way around the image galler bug is to ALWAYS HAVE ONE IMAGE IN YOUR GALLERY, no matter how small.
