Hello all,
I stand before you all know as a living testament that enlistment and graduation should never...ever...under any circumstances, be combined. The English language will never be entirely capable of describing the month I've had. I thought of trying to tell you all in expressive dance and then posting it on YouTube, but there's not reason for that sort of evil to be given an outlet.
For those of you who do not know, I was in the process of enlisting in the Australian Army, and was going through the necessary procedures (I've learned the value of 'Hurry up and wait'). Suddenly I get a call from my recruiter who politely informs me that testing time is here. At the very same moment, graduation kicked in.
So over the past month I've been preping for enlistment (I'm rather sore in case you're wondering), as well as organising graduation and some after-graduation entertainment with some good friends ;)
Amidst all of this, I'm ashamed to say that Imperium fell of the proverbial radar :( I know for certain now when I'm enlisting; October 2nd is when I head off to basic.
So I'm afraid my friends that I have to bid you all farewell. I think I set a record for the number of characters used by any one player, and I do sincerely apologies for my less then acceptable response to this one. Once basic training starts, I'll be out of contact for a good four months, possibly more. This isn't to say I'll never return to Imperium, only that it's going to be a rather hard thing to do after a 12km pack-march through the bush. If the umpire would please set me in the Icebox, I would much appreciate it.
It's been a blast people. I've had some wonderful times at Imperium, and with any luck I will again in the future. Keep the Republic moving people!
Conscript Fathers of our grand and noble Republic, guardians of the mos maiorum....
GOODNIGHT!
