Fortunately, I can read French to a certain extent, especially when it is about the Celts. It has become somewhat of a neccesity for me since the best articles on Gaul are in French. I look for words that make sense to me, such as grande ville gauloise.

Unfortunately, I can't speak or write French very well, and that became very clear to me when I was in Paris trying to buy two cameras. I asked the girl behind the counter, "Deux Cameras, s'il vous plais" and when the girl responded with "Je ne sais pas" I was lucky enough for a guy behind me to say "Dobles cux".

I knew this from 9th grade French, but at the time I was thinking "When am I ever going to use this crap" and I remembered that when I was trying to order the cameras, and could have slapped myself in the head*LOL*.

Here is another link (in French, unfortunately) on Corent.
