An article in the Telegraph says that French archaeologists may have found the palace of Vercingetorix in Corent, near Lyon.
In any case, what they have found will completley rewrite the view of Gaul in the immediately pre-Caesar era. Matthieu Poux, who heads the dig, says that they have found evidence of architecture and metal-working just as sophisticated as anything the Romans had at the time. They will be expanding the dig in the hopes of finding an entire city.
Maybe someone can do a little more research and find more. But this puts Ceasar's Gallic campaign in a whole new light.
