    The Day The Love Died
    by: Muse

    A man leaves her behind
She looks to where he has walked
Feeling her heart rip out of her chest
    she weaps,and mourn

A love being burried and dead
    She mourns it properly
He rushes through the day trying to ignore his heart
He feels a need to be with her

Pride, and minor things get in their way
    a scent, a thought, or a memory
She smells a fresh rose and thinks of him
of what he is doing now, and if he thinks of her

He goes about his day, when he passes an oder of roses
His heart thumps a loud beat, thinking of her
wondering if she thinks of him

They try to lead their seperate life
not allowing the love to come back in
They grow as time goes on
    letting the love lay dead

Years go by and she grows old
and still thinks of him on occassion
    He is older now too
    reminising of how it was
    and could have been

He enters her store smelling the roses
admires the woman's store, he picks up a red rose scented candle
    and heads to the checkout
She turns to ring him up, and just stares, shocked to see him

    She says "aren't you..."
He replies gently "Oh I loved you so"
    feeling his heart race again
She runs around the table to embrace him

Now they run the store and are more in love
allowing their love to flourish, knowing this is where they should be
holding on to each other with a gaze or admiring stare.
