    Thanks, Demetrios - I guess Aemilianus was no spring chicken, but in my memory I was probably thinking "unexpected and unexplained death."

    When you think about it, it's one of the great mysteries of the late Republic. I'd bet 99.99% he was murdered, but no one was ever caught!

    When I googled Scipio Aemilianus, the best "first page" googling I found was one of our own AW groups!
