Good points Demetrios - but lots of mysteries abound. One of which involves Scipio Aemilianus. I dimly recall thinking that his sudden death at a relatively young age - suicide? murder? poison? - at a critical juncture in the early career of Tiberius, had "intrigue" written all over it. Half of the fun would be trying to solve that mystery!

In any event, my biggest need right now is to find recommendations for reading on the late Republic and the Gracchi, so please share any reccys you have!
