Ashereah was having a lovely dream. She was standing on top of a large hill and a sense of peaceful triumph came over her. Looking down, she saw she was standing on a human head. All below her were dead bodies of those who'd opposed her.
It was a good dream, but a dream nonetheless. She knew, even as she slept, that it was not a vision of things to come. Still, she enjoyed it immensely. Until...
Asherah came awake with a start. The video orb was on and loudly braying jackasses of the Witan were having some sort of debate. "Turn that rubbish off before I make good on my threats."
The good mood her dream had given her burst like a bubble.
"You are definitely not a morning person, are you?" The idiot Namtar said. He might be beautiful, but she could see no brains in the gorgeous head.
Asherah glared in reply. A new purpose suddenly filled her as she got out of bed. Energy infused her body and she went about preparing for the day. In the shower, she plotted how best to rid herself of the curse called Namtar. She couldn't afford to get caught this time.
When she was done, Namtar was gone. He'd gone unsuspecting off to his job - that of palace guard. Asherah started to hum to herself and her plans solidified on the transit to work. She was driven, of course. Being the daughter of her father had it's priviledges.
Oh, this one would not know what had hit him. And she wouldn't leave him even a little alive, like she'd done before, to tell tales.
