    One of the legendary high kings of Ireland, Tigernmas is famous for introducing worship of the agrarian god Crom Cruach. Human sacrifices were performed before his great gold idol for fair weather and bountiful crops.

    King Tigernmas and a third of the worshippers were themselves sacrficed in the bloody rites on Samhain night.
