I well remember the fete of '64'...a lady has presumed to have made my acquaintence. THE BUILDING OF VERSAILLES, it is wonderful to return to court to see the progress. I bow to the lady, "At your sevice madame, I am the Duc de La Mont-Cranston-Chung. May I be of service." The good lady is all a flutter and does kindly pretend to have heard of me. "May I escort you to the dinner table?"
