    APPLE GRATIN

In a hurry? this is the simplest of apple desserts. It's quick and easy and delicious

Core, peel and slice enough apples.( I use one small apple per person.) Dust with a bit of flour to thicken the juices as the apples bake and add sugar to taste. If the apples are very sweet already, add some fresh lemon juice instead. Add soft butter and as much cinnamon as you like. Stir in some dry bread crumbs and pop into a 450 degree oven until the apples are tender, but not mushy (about 15 to 20 minutes.) Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. The dishes always come back empty even after a big meal.
